HTC Desire 310

The first android device by HTC that claims to be in the budget is the new ‘HTC Desire 310’.it has got several advantages as well disadvantages that needs to be well-known prior to buying the product.

Look and feel of HTC Desire 310

Unlikely to the several thin products rising in demand in the market of technology, HTC desire 310 is rather overweight. The product has got a thickness of about 11.25 mm with a weight of 140 grams. Individuals can easily handle this 4.5 inches screened product with one hand.

The various attractive colours of the product are white and dark blue, which increases its demand in the market. Its dual-sim facility and slot for micro-SD card also is a great facility that brings it in huge demand in the market.

Software

The HTC desire 310 runs the ‘Android 4.2.1often called as jelly bean’.it does not rather support the ‘usual customised sense UI interface’.it has the ‘blinkfeed visual newsreader’ and with the help of the ‘Sense’, the device has borrowed its app drawer. Rest of the icons are all in-built stock in the android.

The famous apps like WeChat, twitter as well as Polaris office suit are some of the ‘third-party apps’ that come in-built in a package with this package. Also, it has got the useful app of Video highlights that helps in the collaboration of the pictures taken and creation of instant pictures slide-show.

Camera

In spite of having several outstanding features, this phone has got a disheartening picture quality of the rear camera. Its five pixel rear camera with no auto focus facility had made all the viewers disappointed. The camera becomes almost useless in no light or low light.

A lot of noise is created while taking the pictures, even at the daylight. Also, the front view camera has got a low picture resolution of merely 640 by 480 pixels. The presence of the panoramic and HDR modes are ultimately worthless with such a low quality of the camera.

Phone features

1. Mediatek MT6582 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 Ghz, with Mali 400 MP graphics. 2. A RAM of 512 MB capacity that is claimed to be a very poor quality in today’s market. 3. Though the internal storage capacity is of 4 GB, the available capacity of only 1 GB. The space has to be expanded with the help of Micro-SD card. The external storage capacity is of 32 GB.

Performance

The less capacity Ram makes the device ‘to stutter and lag in day-to-day operation’. The battery longevity is found to be only of 6 hours and 23 minutes, which is very low and thus the device gets shut down if used for a long time in discharging condition.

8 Reasons Why the Micromax Unite 2 is a Moto E Killer

Micromax has initially surprised many by launching its new Android Kitkat (Android 4.2.2) not in its flagship devices but in a budget device – Micromax Unite 2.

But Micromax has already put the Moto E, which was still now the only budget smartphone available in the Indian market in face of stiff competition.

As a matter of fact, when it comes to budget Android smartphones available in India – these are the final two contenders for the position of the best. And it has already been pretty well established that the Micromax Unite 2 is presently the best buy smartphone available in the market.

The Unite 2 has already catch up the Moto E in terms sells figures and has also become the new favorite when it comes to the android smartphone that not only offers best value for money but is also the most powerful smartphone available in the budget category. Here are a few reasons for which the Micromax Unite 2 is may be rightly considered by many as the Moto E killer.

Display

Compared to the 4.3-inch display of the Moto E, the Micromax Unite 2 sports a bigger 4.7inch display. Though the difference in display size is not that huge but when it comes to the best in the market every millimeter counts and this is surely the first step that the Unite takes over the Moto E.

Quad-core processor

Though the Unite 2 comes with a Media Tek processor still it is much faster than the 1.2 GHz dual-core processor that powers the Moto E. The Media Tek processor is not only faster in terms of overall clock speed with 1.3GHz but can also handle double the number of cores that offer much better performance in comparison with the Moto E.

Regional language support

In a country like India an android smartphone that supports 21 regional languages always stands a better chance to score over its competitor. Compared to 21 regional language supports in, the Moto E supports only English and Hindi.

User-replaceable battery

The Micromax Unite 2 comes with a user replaceable battery against the fixed battery of the Moto E and that also makes it all the more popular.

Autofocus Camera

The autofocus camera in the Unite 2 offers much better picture quality than the Moto E and also has a flash for better illumination under dark conditions.

Front camera

Though it is of comparatively poor quality still the Micromax Unite at least have a front camera against none in the Moto E.

Better availability

Compared to Motorola, Micromax products are also better available in the Indian market and can also reach more customers

Pricing

Though there is a little difference in pricing but still the Micromax Unite 2 is cheaper and no wonder it has giving the Moto E a tough time in the market.

How to manually update Android apps

It is always recommended to update your apps manually instead of updating all of them automatically. Also if you find your mobile data plans costly and insufficient this might just help.

Just shortlist the apps that are essential and you use often and then simply manually update their versions. Updating apps manually is not a big ask, you can simply do it in few simple steps.

On the home-screen of your Android Smartphone or tablet look for the Google Play Store icon. If you do not find any such icon simply go to the app menu and search for it. Once you find it click on it and wait for it to open.

To access Google Play Store you need an active mobile data plan or a Wi-Fi connection. Once the Play Store opens you have to click on the menu button which is available at the top right hand side of the screen.

The appearance of the menu icon is like three square dots. When you click on it find the My Apps section in it.

As soon as you click on it a list of apps installed on your device is displayed. The list also informs about the available updates for the apps.

Now you can individually select apps you need to update and get an upgraded version by clicking the update tab after selecting the app, or you can make multiple selections and update in one go.

If you think all the apps should be updated then hit the button at the top to update them all together. Some apps specifically need manual updates so you have to upgrade them on individual basis.

At times you might not see any app, it only means that all your apps are up to date, their list is displayed at the bottom.

For updating multiple apps make sure you use a Wi-Fi connection because limited data plans might just interrupt the process. If you feel the apps you have are all essential and you have to regularly update them then you can tick on the auto update option.

It is in the Play Store, you have to click on menu and then find settings in it. In settings section you will find the auto update tab. But if you select it also select “Update over Wi-Fi only” option, it will definitely keep your insufficient data plan problems away.
