Micromax has initially surprised many by launching its new Android Kitkat (Android 4.2.2) not in its flagship devices but in a budget device – Micromax Unite 2.
But Micromax has already put the Moto E, which was still now the only budget smartphone available in the Indian market in face of stiff competition.
As a matter of fact, when it comes to budget Android smartphones available in India – these are the final two contenders for the position of the best. And it has already been pretty well established that the Micromax Unite 2 is presently the best buy smartphone available in the market.
The Unite 2 has already catch up the Moto E in terms sells figures and has also become the new favorite when it comes to the android smartphone that not only offers best value for money but is also the most powerful smartphone available in the budget category. Here are a few reasons for which the Micromax Unite 2 is may be rightly considered by many as the Moto E killer.
Display
Compared to the 4.3-inch display of the Moto E, the Micromax Unite 2 sports a bigger 4.7inch display. Though the difference in display size is not that huge but when it comes to the best in the market every millimeter counts and this is surely the first step that the Unite takes over the Moto E.
Quad-core processor
Though the Unite 2 comes with a Media Tek processor still it is much faster than the 1.2 GHz dual-core processor that powers the Moto E. The Media Tek processor is not only faster in terms of overall clock speed with 1.3GHz but can also handle double the number of cores that offer much better performance in comparison with the Moto E.
Regional language support
In a country like India an android smartphone that supports 21 regional languages always stands a better chance to score over its competitor. Compared to 21 regional language supports in, the Moto E supports only English and Hindi.
User-replaceable battery
The Micromax Unite 2 comes with a user replaceable battery against the fixed battery of the Moto E and that also makes it all the more popular.
Autofocus Camera
The autofocus camera in the Unite 2 offers much better picture quality than the Moto E and also has a flash for better illumination under dark conditions.
Front camera
Though it is of comparatively poor quality still the Micromax Unite at least have a front camera against none in the Moto E.
Better availability
Compared to Motorola, Micromax products are also better available in the Indian market and can also reach more customers
Pricing
Though there is a little difference in pricing but still the Micromax Unite 2 is cheaper and no wonder it has giving the Moto E a tough time in the market.
